Creating United from Acts of Kindness: Coteccons' Hard-to-Replicate Differentiator

When speaking of a construction enterprise's strength, mega-structures, execution capacity, and financial growth metrics are the most visible benchmarks. Yet on its 22nd anniversary, Coteccons chose to tell its story through cups of coffee, rice packages, and educational scholarships dedicated to front-line workers.

Under the theme “Coteccons 20+2 | United To Rise,” Coteccons Day rolled out a nationwide series of initiatives across job sites, corporate offices, and local communities—including the United Day – Happy Coffee Truck, honoring workers with exemplary occupational safety practices through United Thanks, awarding "Building Foundations for Dreams" scholarships, organizing the United Run online running, and hosting the United Corner job site competition.

Coteccons Day 2026 was celebrated across more than 100 Coteccons project sites nationwide

Mr. Bolat Duisenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Coteccons, reaffirmed that Coteccons' journey is about building a company that generates meaningful value for people, society, and life. “To us, 'Industry Leader' is not a title to assert dominance, but an actionable commitment: to unite resources, elevate partnerships, and cultivate a sustainable environment where clients, partners, contractors, engineers, and workers can thrive together,” Mr. Bolat emphasized.

These everyday moments, when woven together, showcase the cohesive, consistent philosophy the company has pursued over the years.

People-Centered Leadership – The Foundation of Sustainable Development

What stands out most is how Coteccons Day’s circle of care has expanded year after year. While the company's traditional anniversary used to primarily focus on its internal workforce, this year it reached far beyond Coteccons' own engineers and office staff. Through United Day – Happy Coffee Truck, coffee trucks andinteractive engagement activities visited more than 100 job sites and offices nationwide, reaching tens of thousands of subcontractor workers who build these structures day in and day out.

"Building Foundations for Dreams" scholarships empowering high-achieving children of construction, urban sanitation, and drainage workers

Gratitude in actions was further embodied through United Thanks, which distributed rice packages representing 10,000 heartfelt expressions of gratitude to site workers who demonstrated exemplary occupational safety practices. It was also reflected in the "Building Foundations for Dreams" scholarship program, co-organized by Coteccons, Nhân Dân Newspaper, the Training and Communications Center, the Saigon Times Foundation, and co-organizers to award 600 scholarships to children of construction workers, urban sanitation workers, and urban drainage workers nationwide. Notably, the beneficiaries extended beyond the construction ecosystem to embrace the unsung workforce keeping our cities moving.

This expansion is remarkable not only for the communities supported, but also for how it inspired diverse stakeholders to uniting. From project owners, subcontractors, and corporate partners such as BOSS Energy Coffee, Revive Thể Thao, HSBC, Berocca, and Standard Chartered…, to social organizations and media agencies, multiple resources converged under a unified mission to serve workers and the community.

This is not the first time Coteccons has made headlines for journey of community service. Preceding Coteccons Day were the landmark Xây Tết campaigns, Occupational Safety and Health Month activations, and similar long-term programs. Over time, these initiatives have formed an enduring foundation of empathy and care, where people are squarely placed at the center.

This people-centric approach also earned Coteccons recognition at the HR Asia Awards as one of The Best Companies to Work for in Asia, celebrating leading workplace environments across the region.

Partners, project owners, and subcontractors join hands with Coteccons to deliver tangible care to the workforce

On this occasion, Coteccons also joined the nationwide walking campaign “Marching forward with Viet Nam 2026” organized by Nhân Dân Newspaper, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union through the United Run initiative. Coteccons staff and engineers joined hands with citizens across the country toward the shared milestone of “10 Billion Green Steps – For a Sustainable Vietnam”. Furthermore, Coteccons employees conquered the collective goal of 40,075 km in 22 days to commemorate the 22nd corporate anniversary—a distance equivalent to circling the globe—embodying our collective synergy and Coteccons' Go Global aspiration.

At job sites, the United Corner competition encouraged teams to implement the 3R model (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) paired with a Saving Mode spirit. While 3R promotes resource efficiency, Saving Mode serves as an operational compass aimed at streamlining operations, eliminating waste, optimizing construction methodologies, and driving productivity through technology and digitalization. From site offices to active decks, this mindset transitioned smoothly from a slogan into daily operational habits.

When "Kindness" Becomes the Catalyst for United

Perhaps that is why Coteccons' true competitive edge lies far beyond construction capacity or project portfolio scale alone. In an industry where technologies, workflows, and management systems can be readily replicated, the ability to build genuine, lasting alignment across diverse individuals and independent organizations is the hardest asset to duplicate.

Uniting in Coteccons Day 2026, a representative of BOSS Energy Coffee spoke of the experience: “We are honored to collaborate with Coteccons across numerous meaningful initiatives, co-creating positive value for the community. Moving forward, we look forward to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Coteccons as a reliable companion to workers, fueling their energy every single day”.

At age 22, the landmarks that the company has built remain the most visible proof of Coteccons’ corporate capabilities. Yet beyond structures of concrete and steel, what is far less tangible - and far more enduring - is the profound human connection forged among those who build them together.

From a cup of coffee, a word of thanks, or an educational scholarship, the true value lies not merely in what is given, but in the power to rally the entire construction value chain to unite and give back together.

A single act can be copied; a single program can be scaled. But a corporate culture capable of catalyzing deep synergy across diverse stakeholders, from the workforce to business partners and institutions, takes decades of dedication to successfully cultivate. And that, ultimately, is the irreplaceable value that remains at the cornerstone of Coteccons’ identity and growth path.
