The Vietnam Construction Awards 2026, organized by the Vietnam Federation of Civil Engineering Associations and Nguoi Xay Dung Magazine, recognizes and honors enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s construction industry. The program takes place amid a landscape in which digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development are increasingly important drivers shaping the competitiveness and long-term growth of construction businesses. It also supports the implementation of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private-sector development and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, helping promote positive business models, initiatives, and values throughout the industry’s development.
Against this backdrop, this year’s Forum adopts the theme “Shaping the Future of Vietnam’s Construction Industry Through the Twin Transformation,” focusing on emerging trends, opportunities, and new requirements facing businesses throughout their transformation journeys. The Forum also provides a platform for businesses and experts to exchange practical experience, strengthen connections, and explore opportunities for collaboration across the construction industry. These priorities are also being translated into Coteccons’ operations, from applying technology to project management to improving resource efficiency and establishing standards for safety and environmental protection.
Integrating ESG into Operations, Staying Committed to Sustainable Development
Coteccons’ recognition as Sustainable Construction Enterprise 2026 reflects the company’s longstanding journey in transforming ESG from a strategic direction into an integral part of its day-to-day operations. Last September, Coteccons was once again named among the top 20 companies in the Vietnam Sustainability Index (VNSI). Its overall ESG score reached 84%, up 9 percentage points from 2025 and marking the highest level since the company began participating in the assessment. All three pillars - Environmental, Social, and Governance, scored above their respective industry averages.
Under the Environmental pillar, Coteccons achieved a score of 89%, with emissions and waste management criteria receiving full marks of 100%. The company also continued to expand its digital greenhouse gas measurement system, promote the circular economy, and implement the 3R program at construction sites. Under the Social pillar, the company maintained more than 68.1 million safe working hours across 89 projects, delivered nearly 90,000 training hours in fiscal year 2026, and ensured that 100% of subcontractor workers received safety training before commencing work. The Governance pillar reached 81%, an increase of 10 percentage points year-on-year, reflecting notable improvements in shareholder rights, Board of Directors accountability, and sustainability practices.
More importantly, these results demonstrate that ESG at Coteccons is not implemented as a standalone program but is embedded across its management, operations, and decision-making processes, laying the foundation for its Quality Growth strategy and long-term sustainable development.
Driving Innovation Through Technology and Governance Models
For many years, Coteccons has consistently advanced the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital platforms, and technological solutions in project management and execution. These initiatives help optimize resources, enhance construction productivity, and strengthen coordination across construction sites. Building on this progress, 2026 marks another milestone as Coteccons partners with Workday to implement a group-wide Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. Covering seven subsidiary companies, the project aims to establish a centralized, transparent, and integrated human resources data system, enabling the management of the entire employee lifecycle through a unified platform. Integrating real-time data into management not only enhances decision-making but also reduces reliance on manual processes, laying the foundation for business expansion and the standardization of governance practices in line with international standards.

From innovation in construction technology to corporate governance, Coteccons is progressively establishing technology and data as core operational capabilities, helping build long-term competitive advantages as the construction industry undergoes an increasingly profound transformation. As the construction industry faces growing demands to enhance competitiveness, accelerate technology adoption, and advance sustainable development, Coteccons proactively takes a pioneering role through innovations in technology, operational practices, and sustainability initiatives. These efforts continue to strengthen Coteccons’ position as an Industry Leader, enabling the company not only to keep pace with industry changes but also to help shape and advance new standards for the construction sector.
